Message Well, I sure did.

My Z is in storage for the winter, and since it's been a bit balmy this week (30 degrees) I figured I'd get started on some interior projects. Well, I opened the door and the most evil smell punched me in the face.

So, I got my dog to try and sniff it out, but he was useless. I started pulling pieces off of the interior (good thing I am doing the brown bead/stereo install). When I got to the last piece, a brown little mouse friend popped his head out (probably pissed because I was making too much racket). When I tried to grab him, he bolted. He taunted me a few more times so off to the store it was to load up on ammunition.

That's a metal 'humane' mouse trap, one of those plug in 'get the F away from my car' things, and notice the crafty piece of stale bread. I put some peanutbutter in the trap too to really get him excited.

I checked the trap a few times per day. NOTHING. So, I took some more trim pieces off, the seat, behind the seat, etc. Tried the dog again. This time he got in the car and was sniffin around like crazy. I figured he was hot on the trail. I encouraged him - he got more excited. Sniffed behind the seat, upwards into the hatch and right to the trap - with the bread and peanut butter. Useless dog.

Just a few hours ago, I noticed some insulation poking out near the rear suspension in the hatch. I first thought "oh how nice of Nissan to insulate there. Geez, they thought of everything". But then I came to my senses, and started pulling on this insulation with some needle nose pliers.

The large circle is where the little bastards were living. The smaller is my prize of 2 carcasses:

Wow. Little bugger was busy collecting my insulation and making his home.

So, as you can see, it's nearly impossible to get inside here to clean all of the mouse *excrement*.

So, I'm wondering, anyone have any great ideas on how to clean this? It stinks to high heaven of piss.

Oh, and I still haven't caught the live one. So, at this point, the score is mouse 1, me 1.

More later ...
